What’s the going rate for an average botox treatment these days? According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, it is $528. In “Touch Up,” an SNL sketch by Please Don’t Destroy, Ben Marshall tries out discount full-face botox for $150, an estimated, approximate 70% markdown (perhaps even more considering what New York City rates might be). What feels like the ever-increasing pressures of botox can certainly be up for debate; however, I think we can all agree that sometimes deals truly are too good to be true.

Young physician-scientists

In his article, “Shine on, Young Physician-Scientist,” Dr Davogustto outlines potential obstacles that one will encounter during graduate medical education. Though from the perspective of a cardiologist, I think that the obstacles mentioned resonate across medical subspecialties. I first read this article several years ago. While the article focuses on pain points for young physician-scientists, the title has stuck with me, becoming a helpful mantra over the years.
